Jacob’s Well is Women of Excellence’s answer to that ancient human need. It is a space of practical, dignified care for women and families who are navigating hardship, uncertainty, or crisis, and who deserve to be met with warmth, not process.

The Youth and Next Generation programme is not a feeder stream for the real movement. It is a core expression of it. We invest in young women because they deserve investment, not because they will eventually be useful to us. And we have found, over and over again, that when you give a young woman genuine belonging, honest formation, and real responsibility, she does not just rise to the occasion. She exceeds it.

WHO IT IS FOR

This programme is designed for young women aged thirteen to twenty-five, spanning early adolescence through early adulthood, recognising that these years are not a single undifferentiated season but a series of distinct developmental moments requiring different kinds of support. It is for young women in school, in university, in their first jobs, in their first experiences of adult independence. It is for young women who grew up in the church and those who are encountering faith for the first time. It is for every young woman who needs to know she is more than the world has told her she is.

CORE EXPRESSION

Identity formation as the non-negotiable core. Before we teach young women about leadership or career or relationships, we help them understand who they are, rooted, named, and not defined by social media, peer pressure, or cultural expectation. Identity work is not a session. It is a continuous thread woven through every aspect of the programme.
Age-appropriate cohorts that honour developmental stages. We distinguish between our teenage participants (13–17), our emerging adult cohort (18–21), and our young adult community (22–25), ensuring that the content, the conversations, and the relational dynamics are genuinely appropriate for where each young woman actually is.
Mentorship relationships with women in the wider movement. Every young woman in this programme is connected with an older woman who has committed to genuine, sustained investment. Not a performance mentor. Not a check-in-once-a-quarter relationship. A real woman, showing up consistently, with time and honesty to offer.
Practical life skills, taught without condescension. Financial basics, decision-making frameworks, understanding healthy and unhealthy relationships, navigating education and career, managing mental and emotional health, these are taught practically, honestly, and with the actual contexts of young women’s lives fully in view.
Creative expression as a legitimate form of leadership. Young women lead through art, music, writing, design, speaking, and digital media. This programme makes room for those forms, not as entertainment, but as genuine contributions to the movement and as expressions of the young woman’s developing voice.
Safe and honest space to ask the hard questions. Faith questions, identity questions, relationship questions, questions about the world and whether God is in it, these are welcomed, not managed. The programme is designed to hold difficulty without collapsing under it, and to take young women’s intellectual and spiritual questions seriously.
A clear and honoured pathway into full movement participation. When a young woman completes this programme, she does not graduate out of Women of Excellence. She graduates into it, with a community that already knows her, a record of growth, and a contribution that the movement has already benefited from.
