Marriage & Family Support

The Home Is the First Place We Lead. And the Place We Most Often Forget to Invest In.

There is something profoundly biblical about a well. It is the place people come to when their reserves are low, not to be lectured, not to perform, but simply to receive. Jacob’s Well is Women of Excellence’s answer to that ancient human need. It is a space of practical, dignified care for women and families who are navigating hardship, uncertainty, or crisis, and who deserve to be met with warmth, not process.

This programme does not idealise marriage or family. It does not pretend that relationships are uncomplicated or that faith makes difficulty disappear. It takes seriously the weight of building a household, the relational complexity, the emotional demands, the financial pressure, the spiritual questions that arise when two people or a parent and children try to make a life together well. And it offers real support for that real work.

WHO IT IS FOR

This programme is for women in every season of family life, engaged, newly married, parenting young children, navigating adolescence, in a difficult marriage, separated, widowed, single-parenting, or in the quieter years when the nest has emptied and identity must be renegotiated. There is no version of family life this programme does not speak to. The only requirement is a willingness to show up honestly.

CORE EXPRESSION

  • Marriage enrichment that addresses the real questions. Sessions go beyond communication tips to explore identity within marriage, the spiritual dimensions of covenant, alignment around purpose and money, the management of conflict, and the maintenance of intimacy across years. These are honest, grounded conversations.
  • Support for women in difficult or broken seasons of marriage. For women navigating estrangement, chronic conflict, betrayal, or the consideration of separation, this programme offers a confidential, compassionate space, not to prescribe outcomes but to help women think clearly and live with integrity through complexity.
  • Equipping mothers for the long arc of parenting. From the early years through adolescence and into the launch of adult children, this strand equips mothers with frameworks for raising children who are emotionally healthy, spiritually grounded, and prepared for the world they will inhabit.
  • A dedicated space for single mothers. Single motherhood carries a particular kind of weight, practical, emotional, and social. This programme honours that reality with programming, peer community, and practical support specifically designed for women raising children on their own.
  • Premarital preparation that tells the truth. Engaged women deserve more than a checklist of compatibility questions. This strand offers honest, thorough preparation for married life, including the harder conversations about conflict styles, family of origin, expectations, finances, and what it actually means to choose someone for life.
  • Peer support groups and facilitated circles. Much of the most transformative work in this programme happens in facilitated small groups, women in similar seasons who create a community of mutual honesty, prayer, and support that extends well beyond the formal programme schedule.
  • Faith-informed frameworks without religious pressure. All programming is rooted in a Christian understanding of relationship, family, and human flourishing, held with openness, not imposition. Women from a range of backgrounds and faith positions find genuine value here.
